The Australian Division of the International Fellowship of Cricketing Rotarians is looking to do something significant to assist Bushfire victims in Victoria.
We have a big weekend planned next weekend to celebrate Don Bradman’s Rotary service. It’s all part of the Bradman Museum’s year long program to celebrate the centenary of Bradman’s birth – and to fill a void in the museum display.
Rotary Clubs involved will be making a contribution to the cricketing Clubs and players within the fire affected regions to help provide them with resources to keep permitting keen sportsmen and women in the region to participate.
We would love to make contact and offer to replace such resources. In the normal family ‘food chain’, sporting equipment items might be at the very end of the replacement priority list but, if available, will play an important part in getting people in the affected areas back to some normality.
